13Salmonella ty phimurium4Three cases occurred in one family on return from a holiday abroad. No particular food was suspected. There were ten individual cases, jellied eels was supected in one case and chicken in another but verification was not possible. No particular foods were suspected in any of the remaining eight cases.
3Clostridium welchii-Two cases occurred in one family and there was one individual case. No particular food was suspected in either instance. Investigation into family contacts proved negative.
42No organisms detected1Thirteen cases occurred in four families and there were twenty-nine individual cases. Various foods were suspected, jellied eels in one case and a cornish pasty in another, but in no instance was it possible to prove the source of infection.
