One Hundred "Not Out"
Two more residents celebrated their 100th birthdays during the
year.
On the 11th June, Mr. Arthur Bridger was the guest of honour at
a party arranged by the Matron and Staff at Perrygrove and
received, in accordance with his own suggestion, a "Parker" pen
inscribed with his name and the date.
At Weybourne the new Matron had the pleasure of organising
a similar celebration for Mrs. Isobel Rivett on the 20th October
Mrs. Rivett received a rocking chair from the "Pegasus" football
team, similar to that presented to Miss E. Perkins in the previous
year.
The Mayor and Mayoress attended both celebrations, and it is
pleasant to record that at the time of writing this report all three
centenarians are still going strong.
