The Food Standards (General Provisions) Order, 1944, and the Food Standards (Suet) Order, 1952, prescribe a content of not less than 83% by weight of Beef Fat. The article was also stated to contain rice flour, but none was found.	Letter to manufacturer. Satisfactory explanation received. Existing stocks withdrawn from sale.
T. 150	Soft Roes Canned	Interior of can badly corroded. Contents contained tin 2.7 grains per pound.	Stock withdrawn
T. 234	Iodised Throat Lozenges	Analysis indicated a deficiency of 58% of Iodine.	Stock withdrawn.
T. 259	Sliced Bananas in Light Syrup (Canned)	Tin content (3.3 grains per pound) was considered excessive.	Stock withdrawn and destroyed.
T. 270	Black-currant Syrup	Contained sulphur dioxide preservative, 370 parts per million—permissible amount 350p.p.m.	Letter to manufacturer.
T. 324	Pork Sausages	Contained preservative—230 parts per million by weight of S02. (Sausages should not contain preservative unless its presence is declared).	Warning letter to manufacturer.
T. 327	Dried Apricots	Sample contained 2,500 parts per million by weight of S02. By the provisions of the Public Health (Preservatives etc. in Food) Regulations, 1925/53, Dried Apricots may contain S02 in a proportion not exceeding 2,000 parts per million	No Action.

T. 349	Sweet Orange Marmalade, Canned.	Contained excessive tin (2.2 grains per pound).	Stock withdrawn.
