There were two deaths from Non-Pulmonary Tuberculosis, a
female aged 4 years, and male aged 21 years.
The Tuberculosis Death-rate from all forms was 0.39 per
thousand.
In only two cases did death take place where the cases had not
previously been notified, and most cases had been notified several
years before.

A Mass Radiography Unit of the North East Metropolitan
Regional Hospital Board, which commenced operations in May,
1950, has its headquarters at the Finsbury Health Centre.
The Unit was originally responsible for the City of London,
and the Metropolitan Boroughs of Bethnal Green, Finsbury, Hackney,
Poplar, Shoreditch, Stepney and Stoke Newington, but sebsequentlv,
Bethnal Green, Poplar and Stepney were transferred to another
Unit. During 1950, the Unit has visited a number of firms in these
Boroughs. Details of the firms in the Borough of Finsbury examined
up to the end of December, 1950, are given hereunder:—
