abatement of nuisances and the romedying of defects.

RAT REGRESSION:
271 complaints were received in 1942 on which the necessary
investigations wore made by the Sanitary Inspectors and appropriate
action taken. Rat poison was supplied in certain cases to private
householders and occupiers of business promises.
