The Public Analyst reports on the work done during
the year as follows.
ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PUBLIC ANALYST
FOR 1948.
During the year 1948, 357 samples were examined
under the Food and Drugs Act, 211 formal and 146
informal.
All samples were submitted by the Inspector.
No samples were submitted by the public under the
Act.
Twelve samples were found to be adulterated, 10
formal and 2 informal.
The adulteration was at the rate of 3.4%.
The rate of adulteration in the Borough for the past ten years was as follows:
