WORK OF TUBERCULOSIS HEALTH
VISITORS.
The two Tuberculosis Health Visitors paid 4,359
visits of enquiry and advice with regard to the welfare
of tuberculous patients in the Borough. In addition
they made 574 futile calls owing to patients being out.
In the course of their work they endeavour to persuade
patients to adopt such hygienic manner of life as is
practicable by separate sleeping accommodation, safe
collection and disposal of sputum, etc. They also make
economic enquiries on behalf of the L.C.C. in connection
with sanatorium treatment, etc.
TUBERCULOSIS SUB-COMMITTEE.
The Sub-Committee of the Public Health Committee
has functioned during the year as the local
