The adulteration in the Borough for the previous eight years was as follows : —

The number of samples examined was at the rate of 6.9
per 1,000 of the population, as compared with 9.1 per 1,000
for the London Boroughs and 3.6 for the whole of England
and Wales.
Three hundred and three samples of milk were examined
of which 9 samples, or 3.0 per cent, were found to be
adulterated. This is the lowest rate of adulteration for
milk recorded in the Borough for the past seven years.

Five samples of condensed milk were examined. They
were all satisfactory.
