TUBERCULOSIS.
Tuberculosis of all kinds is notifiable, and parti—
culars of the number of notification certificates received
during the year are set out in the tables appended
hereto, from which it will be seen that 171 new cases of
Tuberculosis were notified under the Public Health
(Tuberculosis) Regulations. In addition, there were
33 cases which came to my knowledge other than by
notification, 18 of these being after death, making a
total of 204 cases.
The number of patients remaining on the Tuber—
culosis Register at the 31st December, 1931, was 1,426.
The details are given in the table on page 81.
During the year the Registrar.General reported
119 deaths from Pulmonary Tuberculosis, and 13 deaths
from other tuberculous diseases.
