Unsatisfactory Samples.

unsatisfactory. In the case of informal samples, 339 were taken of which
15 (4.4 per cent.) were found to be not up to standard or incorrectly
labelled.
Food
The labelling of an informal sample of cheese spread was misleading
in as much as the word "Flavoured" was smaller type than the rest

action was considered necessary.
Three informal samples of fish paste were deficient in fish content.
As other samples taken were satisfactory no further action was taken.
An informal sample of Cydrax contained an excess of saccharin

label. After contacting the manufacturers no further action was considered
necessary.
Four informal samples of meat paste were deficient in meat content.
further samples were taken which proved satisfactory.
An informal sample of condensed milk was deficient in fats, but
formal samples taken proved to be satisfactory.

Manufacturers were informed.
