Adulterated Samples.
The following action was taken in regard to the 7 formal samples
certified as adulterated:-
No. 162. Lard 1.80 per cent. excess of water and an acid value
of 4.3 per cent.—Cautionary letter.
The remaining 6 samples formed part of 8 samples of Milk taken
in curse of delivery at Claphan Junction Station at the request of the
Medical Officer of Health, Wandsworth, and copies of the Public
Analyst's reports on the samples were forwarded to him.
Bacteriological Examination of Food.
In addition to samples taken for chemical examination, 5 samples
of cream, cream in confectionery, jellied veal and pork pies were submitted
for bacteriological examination. These were all reported to be
satisfactory.
