Coroner's Court and Mortuary.
The Council, in September, at the request of the Commissioner
of Police, made arrangements with a local undertaker to remove
drowned bodies found on the foreshore or in the Thames to the
public mortuary. This duty had hitherto been carried out by the
Police.
Details as to the number of inquests held at the Coroner's
Court, and bodies received into the Mortuary during 1935 are set
out in the following table:—
