Erysipelas.
There were 92 cases of Erysipelas notified and 7 deaths were
recorded from the disease during 1932 in Battersea. The casemortalitv
was 7.61 per cent. and the death-rate per 1,000 population
was 0.04.
Measles.
The number of cases of Measles notified or otherwise reported in
1932 was 2,913 and there were 23 deaths recorded from the disease.
Of the 2,913 cases 2,474 were notified under the Regulations—The
Battersea (Measles and Whooping-Cough) Regulations, 1922—and
the remaining 439 cases were reported by the public elementary
schools or from other sources. The death-rate was 0.146 per 1,000
population, as compared with 0.013 in 1931 and 0.236 in 1930.
The case-mortality of the total incidence (notified and reported)
was 0.79 per cent., as compared with 2.25 per cent. in 1931,
1.13 per cent. in 1930 and 0.88 per cent. in 1929.
