Cost of Maternity Hospital.
I am indebted to the courtesy of the Borough Treasurer for
the following statement of the cost of the Home during the financial
year ended 31st March, 1933:—
Maternity Hospital, 1932—3.
Total beds (excluding cots, labour and isolation beds), 28;
total cases admitted and discharged during year, 545; average
number of beds occupied during the year, excluding cots, labour
and isolation beds, 21.7; number of weeks spent in Institution
by such patients, 1,063.
