Propaganda Work.
In order to bring to the notice of and to interest the inhabitants
of the Borough in health matters, in addition to their other publicity
work, a cinema film was prepared by order of the Council to illustrate
the work of the Public Health Department. The subjects included
in the film were descriptive of the general health and sanitary
services of the Borough ; the Maternity and Child Welfare Scheme
of the Council; the measures for the protection of the food supply,
&c.
By the courtesy of the Finance Committee, the use of the Grand
Hall has been granted free to the Health, Housing and Maternity
and Child Welfare Committees to enable the Film to be exhibited.
The attendances have been satisfactory and indicate the increasing
interest of the public in the public health activities of the Council.
