Sixteen samples of Tuberculin Tested Milk were submitted
for examination during the year and of these four failed to
pass the prescribed test. Warning letters were sent to the
vendors of these unsatisfactory samples.
In addition, five samples of Tuberculin Tested Milk were
submitted for examination for the presence of tubercle bacilli.
In one of these samples the result was positive,, The Ministry,
of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Ministry of Food and the
Medical Officer of Health of the district in which the milk
was produced were notified, with the object of preventing
further sale of infected milk. Subsequently, the Ministry of
Agriculture and Fisheries stated that, after appropriate action,
the milk from the herd in question had been certified as nontuberculous.

Milk
Daring the year 460 samples of milk were submitted to the
Public Analyst and all were found to be of genuine composition.
