ΓΈ Excluding treatments included under block treatments.
(i) During the period under review, 122 notices were served
under the Public Health (London) Act, 1936, in respect of
defective drainage causing rat infestation. It has not been
necessary to institute proceedings under the Prevention of
Damage by Pests Act, as works required were either completed
or in progress.
(ii) There were no special circumstances to which any undue
presence of rats and mice in the district could be attributed.
(iii) Sewer baiting was carried out in co-operation with
contiguous Local Authorities.
Public Mortuary
The number of bodies taken to the mortuary during the
year was 482. Inquests were held in 88 cases.
