notes of every patient notified. Second visits are paid with the object of obtaining for patients
the treatment they require, and of seeing that the advice given is carried out. A number of
sputum cups are distributed at the North Tuberculosis Dispensary, and others are taken to the
homes of consumptive patients by the Women Inspectors.
For the purpose of preventing the spread of infection in families, additional bedsteads with
bedding are provided by the Council free of charge, and lent to those who need them on the advice
of the Tuberculosis Officer. At the end of the vear 15 of the Council's beds were in use.
Two beas have been on loan since 1912.

In two of the three cases where beds were lent during 1920 they were returned on the patient's
removal to Sanatorium.
DISPENSARY TREATMENT OF TUBERCULOSIS.
The Borough Council have no treatment machinery of their own but they have arranged with
the Kensington Tuberculosis Dispensary Committee to carry out Dispensary Treatment for those
persons residing in that portion of the Borough north of the Kensington High Street, and with
the Brompton Hospital authorities for those Kensington persons residing south of this street.
