In addition to the above complaints applying to specific premises,
complaints have been received regarding traffic noises When these
are related to vehicles of a particular factory or depot, the
management's co-operation is sought to minimise any inconvenience to
neighbouring householders This does not however, cover the wider
problem of general traffic on main roads, which can be and is often
the cause of heavy and continuous background noise, and regarding which
no practical solution is at present available.
