With few exceptions the Shirt Makers reside in the South, and
the Blouse Makers in the North of the Borough, while the Suit Makers
are about evenly distributed between both divisions.
I am pleased to be able to record a great improvement in the
condition of the Domestic Workshops. It has been most encouraging
to see with what readiness many of the suggestions made have been
carried out; and it is only when the short time that many of the
workers are able to devote to household matters is taken into account
that this improvement can be fully appreciated.
