Locally the Death Rate varied from 5.45 in Kidbrooke,
8.89 in Charlton, 10.82 in East Greenwich, 12.24 in West
Greenwich, up to 14.22 in St. Nicholas, Deptford.
Of the total number of deaths, 15 under five years of age
were of illegitimate birth, 14 of whom were under one year of
age.
The following table shows the variation in, and average of the Death Rates in each of the five Districts of the Borough in the five years 1921 to 1925 compared with the figures for 1926: —
