The deaths registered in Deptford numbered 915 equalling a deathrate
of 7.9, as compared with 822 and a death-rate of 7.2 for the
preceding year. Of this number, 209 were non-parishioners. The
deaths of Deptford residents occurring outside the Borough in public
institutions were 673, making a total of 1,379 deaths belonging to this
Borough. Of these 760 were males and 619 were females. The death
rate was 12.0, compared with 11.1 in 1923.
