V.—MATERNITY AND CHILD
WELFARE.
FAIRBY GRANGE CONVALESCENT HOME.
The total number of patients received into the home during
the year, including mothers, babies, and toddlers, was 206, a
decrease on the figures for 1939.
Number of women admitted 101
Number of babies admitted 58
Number of toddlers admitted 47
OBSTETRIC AND PUERPERAL FEVER CONSULTANTS.
The number of consultations during the year was as
follows: —
Obstetric Consultations Nil
Puerperal Fever Consultations Nil
CHILD LIFE PROTECTION.
During the year 15 visits were paid by the visitor to 4 fostermothers
with 4 children. These children were subsequently
evacuated and at the end of the year there were no fosterchildren
in the borough.
