VIII.—SANITARY ADMINISTRATION.
HOUSING.
The tables included in this Section of the report show the
position of the Borough so far as the housing of the inhabitants is
concerned. As I said in my introduction to the report, these
conditions provide one of the most serious problems which this
Council has to face.

With regard to overcrowding, the position so far as it is known to us, is set out in the following table

Where overcrowding has been abated, the premises are
visited at regular intervals, in order to prevent a recurrence of
the nuisance.
