Measles.
There were 48 deaths due to this disease, which is below the
average for the last 10 years, and 35 above the number for 1923.
Whooping Cough.
11 deaths were due to this cause, against 12 in 1923.
Enteric Fever.
I death was due to this cause. There were 2 deaths in 1923.
Tubercular Diseases.
The number of deaths from all forms of tubercular disease in
1924 was 173, against 175 in 1923.
Phthisis.
In Table B will be found particulars of deaths from phthisis
since the year 1914. There were 149 deaths due to this cause,
which is 5 more than the number recorded in the previous year.
