Tuberculosis Care Committees.
Interim arrangements pending the formulation and approval of
Local Schemes.
The London County Council desires to obtain local advice and
assistance in connection with tuberculous child patients referred to
it for residential treatment, under the scheme for the treatment of
tuberculosis in London, as to:—
(1) The suitability of the case for treatment by the Council
under the scheme;
(2) The amount, if any, which the parents or guardians
of the child should be invited to contribute towards the cost of
treatment;
(3) The selection of a visitor to visit the home (in accordance
with the provisions of clauses 4, 5, 9 and 11 of the model scheme
of the Public Health Committee of the Council.)
For the above-mentioned purposes the Council has instructed its
officers to endeavour to obtain the co-operation and assistance of the
