The attention of the sanitary inspector was called by a butcher
to the carcase of a pig, which was examined and found to be tuberculous
and was destroyed at the Council's Depot.
The following quantities of foodstuffs were surrendered by the
owners, being unsound:—
6 cwt. 1 qr. 10J lbs. of meat.
14 „ 2 „ 20 „ offish.
1 „ 1 „ 8 „ of poultry.
8 tons 16 „ 1 24J „ of tinned foods.
1 „ 2 „ 1 ~ 9 „ of fruit.
Total. 11 tons 1 cwt. 0 qrs. 15 J lbs.
These foodstuffs were destroyed at the Council's Peckham Park
Road Depot.

656 inspections of foodstuffs were made by the sanitary inspectors
in 1922, resulting in 10 seizures of unsound food.
12 summonses were issued in respect of the above-mentioned seizures, particulars of which are as follow:—
