DRUGS.— Five Drugs were reported against, four of these being Calomel
Ointment and one Compound Liquorice Powder. Two of the Calomel Ointments were
deficient in Calomel, one was compounded with Paraffin Ointment, and one contained
an excess of Calomel.
In the case of the Compound Liquorice Powder, the same was compounded on a
" war time " formula. The vendors were in each instance cautioned.
POTTED LOBSTER AND SHRIMPS.— The two cases of Potted Lobster and
Shrimps reported as adulterated can scarcely be considered as adulterated articles, the
articles being reported as such by reason of the presence of boric acid preservative.
