In the subjoined table comparisons are made between the vital statistics as
recorded in the City of London and those recorded in the Metropolis for the year 1920
and the previous five years. No reliable conclusions can be drawn from these
comparisons, and they are inserted merely as matters of interest.

From the tables appended it will be noticed that the death rate for 1920 was
15.6 per 1,000 compared with 12.6 for the Metropolis as a whole.
