Domestic Workshops.
These premises have been defined as a private room or dwelling
where a trade process is carried on by the members of the family
residing therein.
As stated in the preceding table, the number of domestic work,
shops known to the Department is 32.
Workplaces.
These are places which do not come within the definition of
Factories or Workshops, but where persons assemble to do work of
some kind or other.
Among the more important workplaces are the kitchens of
restaurants, coffee-houses, &c. During the year 1945 inspections were
made and 15 notices were served.
