HOUSING AND WORK OF SANITARY INSPECTION.
Housing Scheme.
Considerable progress has been made during the year as
regards the provision by the Council of the additional housing
accommodation needed in the Borough.
1. Conversion into Tenements.
Nine houses have been purchased by the Council and
converted. Three of these houses being let to 3 families and the
remainder to 2 families each, accommodation being thus provided
for 21 families altogether.
Nine Army huts have been purchased as a temporary measure,
and converted into 12 tenements.
2. Erection of Cottages.
The Council have adopted a scheme for the erection of
80 cottages in Casimer, Cleveleys and Gunton Roads.
