It will be seen from this that the average annual number of
deaths from tuberculosis has progressively decreased during the
period in question, the decline from the period 1898-1900 to 1920,
being equal to 44.7. There is good reason to believe that the
Borough Council's Tuberculosis Scheme is doing valuable work.
The deaths are distributed in the sub-districts of the Borough as shown below:—

PUBLIC HEALTH (TUBERCULOSIS) REGULATIONS, 1912.
Under these Regulations 948 notifications of tuberculosis were
received during the year, of which 766 were pulmonary and 182
non-pulmonary notifications.
