ERYSIPELAS.
This disease, although notifiable under the Public Health London Act, 1891,
is not now scheduled in the Bye-laws of the Port Sanitary Authority as
a disease requiring the patient to be removed to hospital, yet a record is kept
of all cases reported, and as a result 5 cases have been notified during the
year and the usual precautionary measures adopted.
Three of these occurred in patients being inmates of other hospitals,
1 case was removed from a vessel to the Port Sanitary Hospital, and the other
was a mild case, and was isolated and treated on board.
