The total number of births registered in the Borough in
1911 was 3,001, as compared with 2,959 in 1910. Of these
1,521 were boys and 1,480 were girls.
The birth-rate for the Borough was equivalent to an annual
rate of 27.4 per 1,000 of the population, as compared with 24.7
for 1910, 26.8 for 1909 and 26.2 for 1908.
The birth-rate for London was 25.0 per 1,000, compared
with 23.9 per 1,000 for 1910, 24.2 for 1909, and 25.2 for 1908.
