defective, in seven structural defects other than drainage defects of
various kinds were present, and 49 premises needed cleansing. The
places were dealt with as follows:β€”in 34 instances the drains were
entirely, and in 20 instances partially, reconstructed; in 36 instances
improperly placed drain inlets were removed, with or without re-drainage;
in 7 instances more or less extensive structural alterations, other than
drainage alterations, were carried out; and 49 premises were thoroughly
cleansed under notice.
