Diphtheria and Membranous Croup.
The number of cases notified in 1911 was 141 as compared with
48 in 1910, the attack rate, or number of cases notified per 1000
population, being l.65. The number of fatal cases was 17, or 12.0 per
cent. of the cases notified. The death-rate per 1000 population was
0.20; 108 patients, or 76 per cent. of the total cases notified, were
removed to hospital.
