INSPECTION OF FACTORIES, Etc.
Your Factory Inspector has during the year served
291 notices under the Factory and Workshop Act,
and during the same period 279 notices have been
complied with. During the previous year there were
295 notices served and 283 complied with.

The whole of these premises have been under a
systematic inspection by your special Inspector
appointed for that purpose, and numerous improvements
in the sanitary condition of these premises have
been carried out under his supervision. In addition to
this work Mr. Neighbour performed for some part of
the year the duties of Smoke Inspector.
