and the yearly average of deaths registered is 34.7, as compared
with 49 and 9 respectively as the numbers of notified
cases and deaths in the Borough of Lambeth during 1909,
giving decreases of 74.2 and 73.8 per cent. respectively.

It will be noted that there was no case notified, and no
death registered, in infants under 1 year of age; no case
notified, and no death registered, amongst children between
1 and 5 years of age; whilst the greatest numbers of both
cases and deaths occurred amongst ptrsons between 20 and
GO vears of age.
