Public Health Department,
Lambeth Town Hall,
Brixton Hill, S.W.
March, 1910.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of Lambeth.
Mr. Mayor and Gentlemen,
I have much pleasure in presenting the 1909 Annual
Report on the Vital and Sanitary Statistics of the Borough
of Lambeth, shewing a satisfactory decline in the mortality
and zymotic rates, as compared with those previously tabulated
for the old Parish, and for the new Borough. The
infantile mortality-rate is again low.
To the Chief Officers of the Council, and to the Public
Health Staff, my thanks are due, as also to the Members
of the Council for carrying out my suggestions, and acting
upon my advice.
I am, Mr. Mayor and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
Medical Officer of Health.
