REPORT OF CANAL BOATS INSPECTOR.
To the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney:—
Gentlemen,
I beg to submit my annual report upon the canal boats
inspected under the Canal Boats Acts and Regulations, 1877 & 1884.
The details are as follows:—
Number of visits to waterways 81
„ boats inspected 48
„ „ conforming to Acts 48
„ „ infringing Acts None
„ „ inspected not used as dwellings 6
„ certificates examined 42
„ persons for which boats registered:—
Adults 133
Children 11
„ „ living on boats so registered:—
Men 58
Women 8
Children 5
It was not found necessary to serve any notices, and no
legal proceedings were taken.
