Metropolitan Borough of Bethnal Green.
REPORT.
To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of Bethnal Green.
Sir and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present my thirty-fifth
Annual Report on the vital statistics and sanitary condition
of the Borough of Bethnal Green. The period under
consideration is the registration year 1910, which commenced
on January 2nd of that year, and terminated
on Saturday, December 30th last.
POPULATION.
The Registrar-General's estimate of the population of
the Borough in the middle of the year 1910, is 131,579,
an increase of 263 over the estimate for the previous
year. This figure is arrived at by assuming that the
population of the Borough has steadily continued to
increase during the past ten years at a rate equal to
that of the immediately preceding decennium.
