PUERPERAL FEVER.
Twenty-four cases of this disease were notified, and they were exactly
equal to the number reported in 1904, as well as to the corrected average of
the preceding 10 years.
Hospital Isolations.—4 of the patients were treated in hospital, and
of these two died, while 20 were treated at home, of whom 4 succumbed.
Fatality-—6, or one-fourth, viz. 25 per cent. of the patients died, 50.7
per cent. occurring in hospital and 20.0 per cent. at home.
Altogether 291 cases of this disease were reported in the County of
London, of which 183 or 62.8 per cent. were fatal.
