Death of residents occurring in outlying public institutions are
allocated to their respective Wards according to the addresses of the
deceased as received from the Registrar-General's Department.
Table No. 19 gives a list of the institutions in which the deaths
occurred.

MORTALITY AT GROUP OF AGES.
The 1611 deaths recorded during the year included 530 children of
five years of age. The deaths of 321 children occurred under one
year, 209 one to five, 57 five to fifteen, 53 between fifteen and twenty-five,
550 between the ages of twenty-five and sixty-five, 421 of
persons upwards of sixty-five.
