allocated to their respective Wards according to the addresses of the
deceased as received from the Registrar-General’s Department.
Table No. 19 gives a list of the institutions in which the deaths
occurred.

MORTALITY AT GROUP OF AGES.
The 1,643 deaths recorded during the year included 565 children
under five years of age. The deaths of 381 children occurred under
one year, 184 one to five, 53 between five and fifteen, 63 between
fifteen and twenty-five, 522 between the ages of twenty-five and
sixty-five, and 440 of persons aged upwards of sixty-five.
