School Cases.—There is a considerable increase in the number of nonnotifiable
infectious diseases reported by the Schools, as compared with
1908, but there is still great variation in the number of children notified
by the different Schools, as the following table shows.
In most cases the homes are visited, and advice is given to the
parent, when there is no medical practitioner in attendance. Information
is also given to the various Schools, if there are contacts attending, who
have not
