cleanliness were Complied with. The other workshops are
supervised by the Sanitary Inspectors in their respective
districts.
Outworkers.
261 visits were made to the homes of outworkers, and six
notices were served in respect of nuisances observed. No
case of infectious illness was reported in any outworker's
home.
Bakehouses.
There are 70 bakehouses on the register, of which 50 are
underground. Five breaches of the special requirements for
bakehouses were dealt with.
The following tables prepared at the request of the Secretary
of State for the Home Department give a summary of
the work done in connection with the Factory Act:—
