GENERAL SANITARY ADMINISTRATION.
Disinfection.
All infected articles were disinfected at the Council's Disinfecting
Station, Townmead Road. The total cost of the
station for the year was £893 l1s. 8d., including ,£70 for
interest on loans for building and plant, and ,£216 for repayment
of principal. The cost during the last three years the
work was done by a contractor averaged £1,257.
1,358 rooms were disinfected and cleansed, viz.:—

147 bodies were removed to the Mortuary during the year and were admitted as follows:—

Inquests were held on 125, and post-mortem examinations
made in 73 of the above cases.
