Isolation.—Of the patients notified, 318, or 89.8 per cent.,
were removed to the hospital for treatment.
Fatality.—The deaths from the disease—7 in number—represent
a case mortality of just under 2 percent., or the same as
in 1909, which was the lowest recorded in Fulham.
Return Cases.—Six cases occurred within fourteen days of
the return from hospital of a child living in the same house
after recovery from a similar attack.
Distribution of Cases.
In Table XV. will be found the number of cases notified
in and removed from each ward in the borough, and Table
XVI. shows the proportional prevalence in the wards.
DIPHTHERIA.

The cases of diphtheria notified in the four quarters of the year were as under:—

This is the lowest number notified in Fulham since 1893,
and represents a case rate of 16.2 per 10,000 of the population,
as compared with an average of 28.2 per 10,000 in the preceding
decennium.
