The proportion of the children born in 1909 not finally
accounted for, including cases postponed, amounted to 24.2
per cent, of the total births, or nearly double the average of
the previous ten vears.
SCARLET FEVER.
The notified cases of scarlet fever were 354, compared with
668, 594 and 511 in the three preceding years.
