MARRIAGES AND MARRIAGE-RATE.
The number of marriages registered during the year was
1,182, compared with 1,205, 1,308 and 1,203 in the three preceding
years.
The marriage-rate, i.e., the number of persons married per
1,000 inhabitants, was 14.9, the average rate for the previous
ten years being 16.0
